RELEVANT, the leading platform reaching Christian twenty- and thirtysomethings, is looking for a hands-on, creative innovator to serve as our audio and video producer. This position is responsible for leading, producing, editing and executing all audio and video products and strategies.
This includes our current audio (the weekly RELEVANT Podcast, The Drop, The RELEVANT Collection albums) and video (RELEVANT.tv, the RELEVANT Studio Sessions and RELEVANT Podcast Video Extracts), as well as future launches like RELEVANT.fm, dedicated media apps, new podcasts and video strategies.
This is a highly creative in-house position that works with the editorial and creative teams to ideate compelling audio and video experiences that will connect with our audience. It also requires technical expertise and an eye for detail, as this position is the hands-on editor for those projects.
The ideal candidate is our target audience. They are a tastemaker and witty. They know what's happening in the Church world, as well as culture. They have a strong aesthetic, technical expertise and their finger on the pulse of where audio and video is going. They know the voice, mission and humor that makes RELEVANT unique, and are passionate about pursuing new strategies to take the brand's impact to the next level.
This is an idea-driven position, but also a technical one. We're continually trying new multimedia strategies, and this position will be the leader in those "What if?" conversations. It's a jack-of-all-trades position as well. We're looking for someone who can come up with an idea, and then execute it on an indie budget. It's fast-paced, so the ideal candidate is creative, and capable to execute well and quickly.
About half of the position will focus on audio content production, and half on video. Experience in both mediums is a must. Radio experience would be preferred. Additionally, expert-level experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Logic Pro, and RELEVANT's mission and voice is vital.
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of three years professional media experience.
- Experience recording and editing audio with Logic Pro.
- Professional experience editing video with Adobe Premiere.
- Personal knowledge of RELEVANT's media products, market and audience. (If you don't listen to our podcast, don't apply.)
- Experience with Adobe After Effects and Blackmagic Design ATEM switching is a plus.
- Radio experience is a plus.
