content operations manager
full-time
Location: Orlando (preferred) — remote for the right person (u.s. only)
RELEVANT is the leading media brand covering faith and culture for Christians in their 20s and 30s — articles, podcasts, video and social reaching millions every month. We're entering a new season of how we make media, and we're hiring someone to oversee the whole pipeline that reaches our audience: our daily content, our social feeds, our podcasts and more.
This is an operations role: project management, planning, administration and communication.
Our content gets planned and created at the top of the process — and you own everything that happens between there and our audience, every day, across every channel. You’ll be the person whose hands on our social media feeds. You’ll also interface with our partners and keep multiple content and revenue projects in motion. You’ll be the point person for publicists and interview bookings. You’ll make sure everything is posted on time.
Basically, you're the person who keeps the whole operation organized, moving and connected, and who makes sure plans don't just get made — they get executed.
What you'll do
Run the daily pipeline. Our publishing and distribution is a firm daily process — in the morning articles get written, graphics get designed, and then you’ll oversee them getting published and distributed on social. You oversee that machine.
Own our social media. Beyond just posting graphics and links for our feeds, you’ll help turn our video interviews and podcasts into clips (modern tools and our templates do the heavy lifting), riding trends and platform changes, keeping our voice consistent from Instagram to Threads to YouTube — and watching what performs and adapting.
Produce our podcasts. Cameron Strang is the host and will help make the calls on who/what happens on each show, but then you’ll collaboratively help make sure the show is always organized, excellent and growing. Finished episodes get delivered to you, and then you’ll take them the rest of the way: publish, tag, SEO, YouTube promotion and advertising, social rollout, and flagging the moments that should become clips. And you run the pre-production side: planning the guest pipeline with Cameron, building episode rundowns, keeping recording schedules and guest logistics organized. We're also launching another show (or two) this season — you'll help get them off the ground and operating smoothly as well.
Help grow the audience. Bring ideas — and run experiments — to grow our social following, our newsletter database and our web traffic. There's real marketing thinking in this job. Analytics and market research will be your best friend.
Be the industry point of contact. Publicists pitch RELEVANT every day — for interviews, story ideas, book and album reviews. You'll be the point of contact for all of it: triage every pitch, and then meet with Cameron about what we want to cover and what we don’t. You’ll then assign interviews and approved pieces to our contributing writers and editors, and keep the booking calendar and every conversation organized and moving.
Deliver our ad campaigns. Once we close an ad deal or partnership, the client will be largely yours to take care of: traffic the assets, make sure the campaign deploys and runs smoothly across our channels, and pull the analytics and send the client their report when it wraps. You're the point person our advertising partners rely on day to day.
Keep the plates spinning. Coordinate schedules and deliverables for our contributing editors, review analytics with our Publisher, and keep longer-cycle projects — like our annual print edition, new launches and special projects — on track. You meet daily (or more than daily) with our Publisher on the plans; you make sure it all actually happens.
Run the projects that keep us evolving. Media keeps changing, and RELEVANT changes with it. You'll own the special projects that come with that — it might be migrating our podcast to a new host, standing up a new show, evaluating new tools and platforms. You work out the plan with our Publisher, then you execute it, dot every i, and make sure everything runs perfectly afterward. Planned isn't done. Executed is done.

Proactive and hyper-organized — you see the ball before it drops
Perpetually online: you know what's trending before it peaks, and you know our world
You know RELEVANT — our voice, our audience, what we cover and why. This should be a mission you want to invest in
U.S.-based (required). Gotta be in the right time zones
We're not looking for a long résumé. We're looking for the right person.
What we offer
A brand that’s been shaping the conversation at the intersection of faith and culture for over two decades. A small team that moves fast. Direct access to leadership every day. And an unusual amount of room to make your mark on something people actually care about.
Full-time salaried position with a health insurance stipend. We work remotely now, but we’d love to have you in Orlando with us as we rebuild our core team and studio here in the coming seasons. For the right person, we’re open to long-term remote but don’t love it.
Apply Now
To apply to be RELEVANT’s content operations manager, send us four things. It should take about 10 minutes.
Your resume.
A short cover letter. Who you are, why RELEVANT, and what you’d bring to it. We’re reading for voice as much as for experience.
Links to three content items you’ve made or managed that you’re proud of. A substack, a podcast, company growth you managed, a social channel you built. Whatever actually represents you.
Your Instagram.
Include your salary requirements and whether you’d be in Orlando or working remotely. We can’t consider applications without salary requirements (or, frankly, an Instagram account — that’s a huge part of our daily audience engagement strategy. You need to be active on the platform).
