how we make relevant

Our AI Policy

Every story RELEVANT publishes starts and ends with human editorial direction and judgment. Our editors decide what we cover, our journalists conduct every interview, and our Publisher reviews our daily coverage for accuracy, fairness, mission and voice before it reaches you.

Like most modern newsrooms, we use AI tools in parts of our production process — research, drafting and formatting — always under the direction and review of our editorial team. Our goal is to make repetitive, time-consuming aspects of the process more efficient for this new era of multiplatform publishing. AI never decides what RELEVANT covers, never conducts an interview, and never publishes without human review.

Our bylines mean what they say:

  • "By [name]" — this person wrote the piece.

  • "Interview by [name]" — this journalist conducted the interview the story is built on; the story itself was produced by our editorial team.

  • "RELEVANT Staff" — daily news coverage produced collaboratively by our editorial team.

All of our reporting is rigorously fact-checked, and quotations are never invented, altered or "smoothed." If we get something wrong, we correct it and say so. Corrections and concerns: editorial@relevantmagazine.com
